For the past four years my little angel, age 8, has been asking for a "Dancing Barbie". It is actually a Bratz doll that dances. She said it is blonde, not a baby bratz, and has some pink clothes (possibly). I really want to find this elusive doll and give it to her for her birthday (soon!) Any info would be so appreciated! Is it normal to become girlier as you get older ?

People have always called me a "dark child", because of my love of all things dark and disturbing. Somehow, I think that has changed. I think that I (of all people) have become a girly girl. Is it normal to change like that ? I used to be depressing and dull. Now i'm positively cheerful ! If I knew this a year ago, I would have been disgusted at the thought. But now, all I'm thinking is,
"I really wish I had a satin nightgown !"
And no, I have not become stupider or anything. In fact, I have never has such good grades ! I also do not wear make-up or revealing clothes. What *has* changed about me ? I'm in love with pink, frills, satin, sparkles, dancing, gymnastics, and more. I have also become a LOT more bright and cheerful. So, is this normal ?

Wow...you sound just like my daughter. She was always on "the dark side" wearing black and all. She just turned 17 and about a year ago she started liking "girlie things", sparkly jewelry, some pink things (she got pink rubberbands on her braces) She loves the freedom of more choices! I think your normal and it is healthy that you are welcoming the changes that you feel. Don't let anyone give you crap about it.
