If you are a looking for a great way to get in shape while enjoying the outdoors, trail running may be the perfect sport for you. Trail running is a lot like hiking, except instead of taking your time while enjoying the scenery, trail running pushes your physical limitations and has you including speed in your exercise. It is important to make sure that you are in good physical condition before heading out to the trails. If you have never hiked before, you may want to try that a few times before increasing your walking level to running. If you haven't exercised in a long time or have any health problems, it would be a good idea to check with your doctor before beginning.

There are numerous benefits to trail running as opposed to running in the city or a residential town. The first benefit is the decreased pressure on your knees and your ankles. When you run on pavement or an equally hard surface, your joints absorb a great deal of shock. Running on a softer surface such as dirt or sand, is less harsh on your joints and will cause fewer problems over time. Another benefit that you won't get from running in "civilization" is inhaling fewer toxins. When you run in areas that are highly polluted and congested from vehicles and buildings, you are more likely to breathe in potentially harmful substances. You breathe deeper when you exercise, so you would be inhaling more pollutants than during regular daily activities. Trails are generally set away from commercial or residential areas and have much less pollution in the air. You can breathe easier! Trail running also provides for a varied workout. As the trails are often made up of uneven terrain, your legs will get more exercise as they adapt to changing angles and surfaces. What you will still get from trail running (as opposed to regular track or street running) is the great cardiovascular benefits of running, the increased strength, stamina and flexibility.

You should be prepared if you are going to hit the trails. Know where you are going, bring a map or research the trail before hand. Running in the woods or in desert areas is not like running on streets with street signs. It is very easy to get lost and there are very few people that will be around to help you. You should have a backpack with water and a first aid kit in case you run into an emergency. The pack will also provide a bit of extra weight for your workout, increasing your strength as you go. Keep in mind though that if it is too heavy, you will get more easily fatigued and may not be able to run as far.

Having the proper shoes is also important. You should find shoes specifically made for trail running as they will offer support for your foot and will have special soles for increased traction.

Trail running is a fabulous way to get in shape while enjoying the beautiful outdoors.

Its okay to have the odd 'off' day where your diet isn't great. Even celebrities have the odd binge. If you're paranoid that tomorrow when you go on the scales you're weight will be higher because of the amount of food in you, don't worry, its normal to sometimes be up to 2 pounds heavier or lighter in the morning, depending on food and water in take. I want to sew/make bedding for an American Girl bed.....(help)?
My 7 yrear old sister has some money burning a hole in her pocket and decided to buy an American Girl trundle bed for two of her dolls. (We dont have the actual bed yet so its hard to really measure and everything by going off the picture!!!) She doesn't want to buy the bedding that comes with it so i told her i'd sew her some bedding for the bed(s). I have some cute fabric and old pillow cases to work with already... i wanted to know if there is anyone who can help me by giving me a web site where i can find a template or if they've done this before and could give me the dimentions of the doll bedding they made. I really don't want to screw this up so thats why i really need some help! Thanks so so so so much!

I would at least go look at the bed. Measure it. If it is in a box, the dimensions should be on the side. Then decide how much you want the fabric to come down the sides because if the doll is covered up, it may not cover the bed anymore. I would probably add 2" on both sides and 2" at the bottom to cover the mattress. So add 6" to the width and 2" to the length of the bed. If you want to cover the trundle all together when the dolls are not in bed, then add more. After you get the measurements, decide if you are going to make it reversible as in a quilt. You can use one piece of fabric and hem it all the way around; or you could use 2 pieces of fabric, sew them together like a pillowcase inside out, right sides together, and then you could put a piece of flannel or something in to make a quilt. After you get that done, close the other end. Then you could add a fringe or different fabric to put a nice border hem on it. Sew a pillow to match.

How can i store my huge collection of boots?

I need something that will store my huge collection of boots away. I already have the clear boxes. But i find it a hassle keep on takin gboots out and putting them back in, is there anyway else i could possibly store them, as most of the boots dont fit into a standard shoe rack either.

I had my walk in wardrobe converted so that all my shoes fit - one of the walls has a shoe rack up to the ceiling - different shelves all in white wood. Have a carpenter come make it for you and you can choose how high/wide etc you want it.

IG3 is a postcode - the same as the USA has zipcodes. Greater London is the city of London and does not include the satellite suburbs on the outskirts.

You normally affix your postage stamps to the top right hand corner of the envelope, the PAR AVION sticker goes a little in from the side at the top left hand corner.
